DR. SHARON BEWICK

Research Adviser

Dr. Bewick is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences interested in population and community dynamics, including examining the biodiversity of microbes on the human skin to understand spatial microbial ecology. She oversees the theoretical modeling component of the project, works with the postdoc, and advises a graduate student.

DANIEL MALAGON

PhD Student

For this project I am mainly focused on the curriculum development for undergraduates. Part of this project involves fostering an appreciation for microbial ecology in first-year undergraduate students.

SANDRA ANNIE TSIORINTSOA

PhD Student

I am working with Dr. Sharon Bewik on elaborating the theoretical part of the project using Mathematics. We want to build models of functional redundancy in microbial communities based on ecosystem complexity.
