DR. VIDYA SUSEELA

Research Adviser

Dr. Suseela is an Assistant Professor in the Plant and Environmental Sciences Department with interests in soil carbon cycling and root-rhizosphere interactions. She is an expert in metabolomics of soils/roots. She oversees the plant microbiome experiment. Her graduate and undergraduate students are involved in all aspects of those projects.

JASMINE GILL

PhD Student

My role is to set up the plant microbiome experiment and investigate the functional redundancy in the rhizosphere microbiome with increased substrate complexity. To achieve this objective, I am working on root metabolite identification and compound classification to elucidate the role of root exudates in the functional redundancy of microbes.
